Design and implementation of smart, efficient and transversal solutions to reduce the carbon footprint of construction projects.
Management assistance of construction and urban planning projects with a specific circular economy approach aiming to enhance noble functions of the building. L’institut de Formation Sectoriel du Bâtiment sees the building as a technological platform composed of different modules able to work together. Its team of experts can support customers in the design and implementation of smart, efficient and transversal solutions to reduce the carbon footprint of construction projects and increase its attractiveness. The strength of the service is ensured by the joint forces of the 4 entities of the CDEC group: Neobuild (technological innovation cluster in materials, construction techniques, IoT, energy…), COCERT (energy and health engineering), IFSB (technological transfer and training) and CDEC (Economic and environmental strategy). IFSB’s lighthouse project is the integration of a CO2-cutting rooftop greenhouse able to reuse heat and CO2 losses on the top of a company restaurant. Food and non-food products can be grown in the greenhouse to balance the operational costs. The project has been highlighted and supported by the Interreg NWE GROOF project and the Luxembourg National Strategy for Urban Farming.
