Planetizen recently updated its list of "Most Influential Urbanists" by revamping the previous one compiled in 2017. The call for nominees encouraged readers to think beyond the traditional canon and nominate a more diverse group of individuals and causes. The updated list of 200 nominees included 53 Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC), 15 BIPOC women, 54 total women, and several non-binary representatives. Planetizen received 982 survey responses ranking these urbanists, and a new list of influential figures has been revealed.
