Startup Sherpas are a social enterprise that works with cities to provide teenagers with paid work experience and startup business support. Working with Ingenuity and the city of Leeds they have developed a blueprint for Smarter Cities, providing a straightforward plan for engaging teenagers in programmes to drive inclusive growth and support the skills development the city needs. With the flagship 16×16 programme teaching and empowering teenagers to earn £16,000 by age 16, Startup Sherpas have developed a way of engaging teenagers at scale that can harness their creativity to solve city wide problems.
