Governing the twin transition: Transforming today’s challenges into future opportunities

My list

Municipalities around the world are facing a dual challenge: The green and digital transition. Both are often going in hand in hand. If managed well, this dual challenge will provide great opportunities for local ecosystems to thrive and cities to prosper. This expert panel organised by Open & Agile Smart Cities will explore the link between the digital and green transition and how one can benefit from the other. Furthermore, we will explore how digital solutions – such as digital city twins or AI-driven solutions – can be replicated and shared by cities more easily thanks to a minimal and common mechanisms. And finally, we’ll touch upon upcoming opportunities and innovative ways to fund the twin transition on a local level.

This Side Event was part of the program "Focus Sessions #1 – Local actions tackling global challenges".
