While there still are dirty, dull, and dangerous jobs, most factories are actually cleaning up pretty well. In the ideal scenario, robots are taking over, but they’re taking over the grunt work. According to the Global Lighthouse Network of The World Economic Forum, which tracks these trends, future factories are popping up everywhere. The ideal scenario suggests they’ll be fully automated, with lights on 24/7 facilities. Arguably, should our measures of success in such a network be based around whether machines are taking over?
