Millions of U.S. kids and college students kick off the school year this week with a traditional post-Labor Day start. And in many ways the chaos and disruption from March — when education at all levels came to a screeching halt — hasn’t gone away. That tumult has turned education into a major issue in the last two months of the 2020 presidential campaign, as schools suddenly close amid coronavirus outbreaks and peeved parents struggle with virtual learning.
